Built by people who
ran directory sites.
AddiPress Pro wasn’t designed in a boardroom. It was born from years of frustration, 3am debugging sessions, and the stubborn belief that running a directory portal shouldn’t require an army of developers.
From a painful workaround to an AI operating system
It started with a single directory site — a local business listings portal that kept breaking every time a new WordPress update landed. We were patching ClassiPress with custom code, wrestling with GeoDirectory quirks, and manually building search filters that should have existed out of the box.
After the third complete rebuild in two years, we stopped patching and started building. We asked: what if the intelligence that manages a directory — the configurations, the field mappings, the ad logic, the SEO rules — lived in one coherent system?
Three years, 60+ modules, and thousands of hours of testing later, AddiPress Pro is that system. Today it powers portals across 14 countries, from single-person classifieds sites to enterprise directory networks with millions of listings.
I used to spend a week configuring a new directory theme. With AddiPress Pro, I had a production-ready portal in 47 minutes. That first time, I literally laughed out loud at my screen.
The road from side project
to production system
Six principles we refuse
to compromise on
Depth over breadth
Every module we ship is production-tested on real directories, not demo sites. We’d rather have 60 excellent modules than 200 half-finished ones.
Speed as a feature
Setup time matters. Every new feature is benchmarked against how much faster it makes a real workflow. If it doesn’t save real time, it doesn’t ship.
No lock-in, ever
Your data, your portal, your WordPress install. AddiPress Pro adds a control layer — it doesn’t replace or lock away your underlying content.
Radical transparency
Public changelog, honest roadmap, real support response times. We tell you what’s broken before you find it, and we tell you when a fix will ship.
Customer-shaped roadmap
The last 12 major features were all requested by paying customers. We have a public voting board and we actually act on the results, every quarter.
Backward compatibility
We have never shipped an update that broke a working installation. Our migration path is always smooth — upgrade on your schedule, not ours.
Small team, deep expertise
We’re four people who’ve collectively built and operated more directory sites than we care to count. No investors, no growth hacks — just focused product work.
Built his first directory site in 2015. Has been deep in ClassiPress internals longer than he’d like to admit. Writes most of the core PHP.
Former agency designer who switched to product. Owns every pixel of the admin interface and the public-facing themes system.
Handles all third-party integrations and the Smart Parametrizer logic. Built the Industry Configurator from scratch in 2023.
Handles every support ticket personally. Wrote the entire knowledge base. Average first-reply time: under 4 hours on business days.
How we actually build this
Bi-weekly release cadence
We ship a new release every 2–3 weeks without exception. Hotfixes go out within 24 hours of a confirmed bug. Every release is tested on 6 live WordPress environments before it goes public.
Real humans, real responses
No bots, no canned replies. Every support ticket is read and answered by a team member who actually understands the codebase. We don’t outsource support and we never will.
Public voting, real execution
Our feature roadmap is publicly visible and shaped by customer votes. Every quarter we review the board and commit to the top-voted items. We’ve never missed a quarterly delivery.
No vendor lock-in. Your portal, your rules.
AddiPress Pro runs entirely on your WordPress install. We don’t host your data, we don’t control your portal, and we don’t hold your content hostage to a subscription. Cancel anytime — your site keeps working exactly as you left it.
