Our Story

Built by people who
ran Directory sites.

AddiPress Pro wasn't designed in a boardroom. It was born from years of frustration, 3am debugging sessions, and the stubborn belief that running a directory portal shouldn't require an army of developers.

How it started

From a painful workaround to an AI operating system

It started with a single directory site — a local business listings portal that kept breaking every time a new WordPress update landed. We were patching ClassiPress with custom code, wrestling with oferty GeoDirectory quirks, and manually building search filters that should have existed out of the box.

After the third complete rebuild in two years, we stopped patching and started building. We asked: what if the intelligence that manages a directory — the configurations, the field mappings, the ad logic, the SEO rules — lived in one coherent system?

Five years of internal development, two complete rewrites, and 40+ production-ready modules later — AddiPress Pro is that system. Built to work from day one, whether you're running a single-person classifieds site or a multi-regional directory network.

I used to spend a week configuring a new directory theme. With AddiPress Pro, I had a production-ready portal in 47 minutes. That first time, I literally laughed out loud at my screen.

Timeline

The road from side project
to production system

🔧
2021 — Beginning
First commit: "Stop the ClassiPress insanity"
A private plugin to automate repetitive directory setup tasks. No roadmap, no product vision — just a developer tired of doing the same configuration work on every new client project.
🧩
2022 — Expansion
GeoDirectory + WooCommerce integrations land
After multiple requests from the WordPress directory community, we expanded beyond ClassiPress. The modular architecture was born here — instead of one giant plugin, a hub-and-spoke system of focused modules.
🤖
2023 — Intelligence layer
Smart Parametrizer & AI Configurator shipped
The plugin crossed from "automation tool" to "AI operating system." The Smart Parametrizer could now auto-generate field structures for any industry. The Industry Configurator made rapid portal setup possible for the first time — beta testers completed full configurations in under 2 minutes.
🚀
May 2026 — AddiPress Pro v1.0
Public launch: 40+ modules, Theme Adapter Engine, full AI layer
The full platform launches commercially on 8 May 2026. Five years of internal development shipped as a coherent system for the first time — Setup Wizard, Theme Adapter Engine, Metacognition Engine, multi-agent AI Swarm, and dual AI provider support all included from day one.
🌍
May 2026 — v1.0.3
Multilingual AI Engine ships: 49 language hooks, 24 country presets
Three weeks after launch we shipped the feature international buyers had been asking for since beta. AI content generation now runs natively in the user's language — not machine-translated, but written in the target language from the first word. Country-aware personas, localized SEO rules, and currency/market presets for 24 countries are all included, with zero manual translation work required.
How we work

Six principles we refuse
to compromise on

🎯

Depth over breadth

Every module we ship is tested on real directory setups, not demo sites. We'd rather have 40 excellent modules than 200 half-finished ones.

Speed as a feature

Setup time matters. Every new feature is benchmarked against how much faster it makes a real workflow. If it doesn't save real time, it doesn't ship.

🔒

No lock-in, ever

Your data, your portal, your WordPress install. AddiPress Pro adds a control layer — it doesn't replace or lock away your underlying content.

👁️

Radical transparency

Public changelog, honest roadmap, real support response times. We tell you what's broken before you find it, and we tell you when a fix will ship.

🤝

Customer-shaped roadmap

Every module on the roadmap was shaped by feedback from beta testers and directory operators. We have a public voting board — your input drives what ships next, starting from day one.

🧱

Backward compatibility

Backward compatibility is a core principle. Every release ships with a tested migration path and rollback documentation. Upgrade on your schedule, not ours — and we support the last two major versions at all times.

The team

Small team, deep expertise

We're four people who've collectively built and operated more directory sites than we care to count. No investors, no growth hacks — just focused product work.

M
Michał K.
Founder & Lead Developer

Built his first directory site in 2015. Has been deep in ClassiPress internals longer than he'd like to admit. Writes most of the core PHP.

A
Anna R.
UX & Frontend

Former agency designer who switched to product. Owns every pixel of the admin interface and the public-facing themes system.

P
Piotr W.
Integrations & AI Layer

Handles all third-party integrations and the Smart Parametrizer logic. Built the Industry Configurator from scratch in 2023.

Behind the scenes

How we actually build this

Development

Bi-weekly release cadence

We ship a new release every 2–3 weeks without exception. Hotfixes go out within 24 hours of a confirmed bug. Every release is tested on 6 live WordPress environments before it goes public.

Support

Real humans, real responses

No bots, no canned replies. Every support ticket is read and answered by a team member who actually understands the codebase. We don't outsource support and we never will.

Roadmap

Public voting, real execution

Our feature roadmap is publicly visible and shaped by community votes. Every quarter we review the board and publicly commit to the top-voted items. Transparent delivery — no vague roadmap promises.

Global by design

AI that writes in your language.
Not translated — native.

Three weeks after launch we shipped the feature international buyers had been asking for since beta: the Multilingual AI Engine. AI content generation now runs natively in the target language — not machine-translated after the fact, but written from the first word in German, French, Dutch, Spanish, or any of 49 supported languages.

Every country market gets its own persona profile: tone of voice, address formats, cultural references, even the right emoji frequency. A German B2B welding portal sounds nothing like a Spanish beauty directory — and now AddiPress Pro knows the difference automatically.

49 AI language hooks, 24 country-aware presets, and zero manual translation work required. International operators have been waiting years for a directory tool that doesn't treat "multilingual" as an afterthought.

🗣️

Native AI content generation

The AI writes listings, descriptions, meta tags, and FAQ entries directly in the target language. Not post-translation — native. Tested across German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Polish, and 44 additional languages.

👤

Country-aware personas

Each of the 24 country presets ships with a calibrated AI persona: formality level, addressing style, B2B vs. B2C tone, local currency, regional SEO patterns. A German portal gets Dr./Herr; a French portal gets vous.

🌐

Localized SEO rules

Schema.org output, hreflang tags, local business markup, and meta descriptions all adapt to the country preset. Search engines in each target market see properly localized structured data — not boilerplate English with a translated title.

No vendor lock-in. Your portal, your rules.

AddiPress Pro runs entirely on your WordPress install. We don't host your data, we don't control your portal, and we don't hold your content hostage to a subscription. Cancel anytime — your site keeps working exactly as you left it.
