End User Licence Agreement
The licence that governs your use of the AddiPress Pro plugin code.
Contents
1. Definitions
- "Plugin" — the AddiPress Pro WordPress plugin, including all source code, assets, documentation, and updates.
- "Licensor" — AddiPress, the developer and distributor of the Plugin.
- "Licensee" / "you" — the individual or legal entity that has purchased a valid licence.
- "Licence Key" — a unique alphanumeric key issued to the Licensee upon purchase, used to activate updates and verify ownership.
- "WordPress Installation" — a single, independently-operated WordPress instance at a unique domain or subdomain.
- "Proprietary Code" — portions of the Plugin that are not covered by the GPL or any other open-source licence.
2. Grant of licence
Subject to the terms of this EULA and upon receipt of full payment, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to:
- Install and use the Plugin on the number of WordPress installations permitted by your licence tier
- Receive and install Plugin updates distributed by the Licensor
- Use the Plugin for personal, commercial, or client projects within your licence tier
This licence does not include any right to the Plugin's source code beyond what is required for installation, unless that code is separately covered by an open-source licence (see §5).
3. Licence tiers & site limits
| Tier | Price | Active sites | Who may use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $349 one-time | 1 site | Individual or single business |
| Agency | $799 one-time | Unlimited sites | Agency, freelancer, multiple clients |
A "site" is defined as a single WordPress installation at a unique primary domain. Subdomains used as staging environments (e.g. staging.yourdomain.com) that mirror a licensed production site do not count as a separate licence slot, provided the production site is also licenced.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
- Sell, sublicence, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer the Plugin or your Licence Key to any third party
- Distribute the Plugin publicly (e.g. on GitHub, code marketplaces, torrent sites)
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, copyright notices, or licence identifiers within the Plugin code
- Use the Plugin on more WordPress installations than your licence tier permits simultaneously
- Use the Plugin to develop a substantially similar competing product
- Share your Licence Key with third parties not covered by your licence tier
5. Open-source components (GPL)
AddiPress Pro is a WordPress plugin and, as such, includes components released under the GNU General Public Licence v2 or later (GPL-2.0+) in accordance with WordPress licensing requirements. Specifically:
- All PHP code that hooks into WordPress core APIs is licensed under GPL-2.0+
- Any bundled open-source JavaScript or CSS libraries retain their original licences
The GPL applies to those specific components. The Proprietary Code — including AI configuration logic, SEO rule sets, industry preset data, and premium UI components — remains under this EULA and is not covered by the GPL.
A full list of open-source dependencies and their licences is available in the LICENSE.md file included in the plugin package.
6. Updates & lifetime access
Your licence includes lifetime updates — all future versions of AddiPress Pro will be available to you at no additional charge via your customer account at addipress.com, for as long as the product is actively developed and distributed.
The Licensor reserves the right to:
- Discontinue the Plugin with reasonable notice (minimum 90 days)
- Modify features in updates (while maintaining backward compatibility where practical)
- Require re-activation of your Licence Key after major version upgrades
7. Termination
This licence terminates automatically and immediately upon:
- Material breach of any restriction in §4 that is not remedied within 14 days of written notice
- Fraudulent purchase or chargeback abuse
- Your request to terminate (in conjunction with a valid refund request within the 14-day window)
Upon termination, you must deactivate and delete all copies of the Plugin from all WordPress installations. Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless initiated within the 14-day refund window under the Terms of Service.
8. No warranty
The Plugin is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The Licensor does not warrant that the Plugin will meet your specific requirements, operate without interruption, or be free from bugs or errors. Use of the Plugin is at your own risk.
The Licensor does not warrant compatibility with any specific WordPress theme, plugin, hosting environment, or PHP/MySQL version beyond what is documented in the system requirements at addipress.com/docs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor's total liability under this EULA shall not exceed the licence fee paid by you. In no event shall the Licensor be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the use or inability to use the Plugin.
10. Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — fill before launch]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules where applicable.
