Questions about compatibility
The Setup Wizard runs a theme fingerprint scan on activation — it checks your active theme slug, installed plugins, and registered post types against AddiPress’s theme adapter library. If a match is found, the correct adapter loads automatically and pre-maps known fields. If your theme is not in the library, AddiPress falls back to universal WordPress hooks which cover basic content generation for any post type.
“Full Support” means the theme adapter has been in production for 6+ months, tested against hundreds of live sites, and covers all 60+ modules. “New” means the adapter was added in v1.0 and is fully functional but has less real-world mileage — typically 50–55 modules active vs. 62 for fully-matured adapters. New adapters reach Full Support status within 2–3 version cycles as edge cases are ironed out.
Yes. Switching themes triggers a re-detection on next admin page load. AddiPress will notify you that a new theme was detected and ask you to confirm the new adapter. Your existing AI-generated content, revenue data and configuration settings are preserved — only field mappings may need adjustment for fields unique to the new theme.
Child themes are detected by their parent theme slug — a child theme of ClassiPress is treated as ClassiPress and gets full support. For custom-built themes, AddiPress uses the universal adapter (basic content generation + SEO meta) and lets you manually assign post types and field mappings in the Field Mapper. Advanced custom theme support is available on request for Agency license holders.
